Introduction #
In this doc we’ll explain how to get started with your game server(s). Want to know more? Go to the Game Servers category within our knowledgebase.
Getting Started with Game Servers #
If you have ordered a game server from ProRedLine, the main place where you will manage it is the Game Panel at game.proredline.com. This getting started guide explains what happens after payment, how to access the panel, and where to find the most important controls.
What Happens After Payment #
After a successful payment, your new server starts the installation process automatically in the background. You will usually receive more than one email during this process.
1. Payment Confirmation #
First, you will receive an email confirming that the subscription payment was successful. This means the order has been received and the server installation process has started.
2. Game Panel Account Email #
If this is your first game server at ProRedLine, you will also receive a separate email from the Game Panel. This email explains that a Game Panel account has been created for you and includes a password reset link.
It is important to know that:
- your Game Panel account is separate from your ProRedLine account
- the login details for game.proredline.com are not the same as for my.proredline.com
- you need to set your Game Panel password before first use
This separation exists for security and service management reasons.
3. Server Ready Email #
Once the installation has finished, you will receive another email letting you know that the server is ready for use. This email usually also includes a direct link to your server dashboard after login.
If You Do Not Receive the Emails #
If you do not see these emails, first check your spam or junk folder. Some providers may filter automated service emails incorrectly.
In rare cases, automatic server creation may fail. If that happens, ProRedLine is notified automatically and the installation can be retried manually.
Logging In to the Game Panel #
You can access the panel at:
After logging in, you will arrive on the Game Panel homepage. This is the main dashboard where you can see the servers you have access to and open the management page for each one.
For most customers, the first thing to do is simply:
- log in successfully
- confirm the server appears in your list
- open the server dashboard
- check whether the installation has completed correctly
What You See in the Game Panel #
When you open the Game Panel, the homepage mainly acts as an overview of your services. From there, you can:
- see the list of servers you can access
- search through your servers
- open the dashboard of a specific server
- manage your Game Panel account settings
- log out of the panel
If you only have one server, this screen will usually stay simple. If you have multiple services, this overview becomes more useful.
The Most Important Tabs for New Users #
Once you open a specific server, the two most important tabs for getting started are usually Startup and Settings.
Startup #
The Startup tab contains the main server variables used by that specific game or app server. These settings depend on the type of server you have.
Examples can include:
- map selection
- game password settings
- startup-related configuration
- server-specific variables
These settings are different for every game or application. For detailed explanations of the available variables, the best reference is the dedicated documentation for that specific server type.
Settings #
The Settings tab contains more general settings related to the server and its panel entry. This is usually where you can change things such as the panel display name or description. These changes affect how the server appears in the Game Panel, not necessarily how it behaves in-game.
This section may also include:
- support-related debug information
- reinstall options
- service-related management actions
One important option here is Reinstall Server. This is generally used when a clean reinstall is needed or when the service needs to be reinstalled for a fresh start.
Good First Steps After Setup #
When your server is ready, a good starting flow is:
- log in to the Game Panel
- open the server dashboard
- confirm the server exists and is accessible
- review the Startup settings
- review the Settings tab
- avoid changing too many things at once
This gives you a controlled and stable starting point before making more advanced changes.
Mobile Access #
The Game Panel is mobile-friendly, so you can also access it from your phone or tablet using a normal browser. Just open game.proredline.com and log in with your Game Panel account.
