Introduction #

In this doc you’ll learn more about account suspension and account closure. This is not to be confused with subscription suspension which occurs simply in the 7-day grace period of expired subscriptions.

What’s the difference #

Suspension #

Suspension happens when a customer has done something against ProRedLine’s Terms of Service or its other policies. Account suspension can be temporarily or permanently. During suspension, some personal data will be kept to ensure the customer cannot create a new account under the same personal details. The account will not be deleted, but be set to inactive. Suspension is always initiated by ProRedLine Support, not by the customer. Unnecessary personal information will be removed.

Closure #

Closure of an account happens when the account has been inactive for too long or when the customers request their personal data to be deleted. When the erasure request has been completed, the user account has been deleted from our system. This makes it possible for the user to create a new ‘clean’ account under the same email address. ProRedLine only deletes account automatically if they have been inactive for too long. Other deletions can only be requested and done by the account holder.

Suspended and Request Data Deletion #

When suspended, you can request your personal data to be deleted, as is your right. But we keep necessary personal data on file with the sole purpose to enfore the suspension. In this article you can find what personal information we keep during account suspensions and how account closure works.

Because suspended accounts cannot log in and access support.proredline.com, we accept personal data removal requests through email if the requests have been sent from the email associated with your account. When the requests have been confirmed through an email we sent, the process begins.

Automatically Triggered Account Closure #

If you haven’t logged in to your My ProRedLine account for at least 12 months and without any active subscriptions for at least 12 months, your account will automatically be closed and deleted from our system. Not to worry, we do send emails informing you of the upcoming closure. This gives you the opportunity to log into your account before the closure will start.
