Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started & Platforms

  • What is the difference between the Game Panel and cPanel?

The Game Panel is used for managing game and app servers, such as server status, files, backups, and scheduling tasks.

cPanel is used for web hosting, email hosting, domain-related hosting settings, databases, and website management.

  • Where do I manage my ProRedLine services?

This depends on the type of service you have. my.proredline.com is used for your customer account, subscriptions, invoices, and general account management. Game Panel is used for game and app servers. cPanel is used for website, email, and related hosting features.

  • I bought a service. Is it activated instantly?

Not always. Game and app services may be delivered through their own platform flow, but Web Hosting, Site Hosting, Email Hosting, and domain-related services may be manually provisioned by ProRedLine. This is done to reduce setup errors and improve quality control. In normal situations, provisioning is usually completed within 24 hours and may take up to 48 hours.

  • Which panel do I use for Web Hosting and Email Hosting?

For Web Hosting, Site Hosting, and Email Hosting, the main management environment is cPanel. This is where you manage website files, databases, email accounts, DNS records, and other related hosting features.

  • Where should I start if I am new?

The best place to start is the Getting Started category in the support documentation. From there, choose the topic that matches your service, such as Game Servers, App Servers, Web Hosting, Email, cPanel, or WordPress. There can be found here:

Game Servers, App Servers & Game Panel

  • What is the Game Panel used for?

The Game Panel is the control environment used to manage your game and app servers. Depending on the service, this can include file management, startup settings, scheduling tasks, backups, restores, and general server control.

  • Are game servers and app servers managed in the same panel?

Yes. At ProRedLine, both game servers and app servers are managed through the Game Panel. The service type may differ, but the management environment is shared.

  • Can I upload or edit files in the Game Panel?

Yes. The Game Panel includes file management functionality that allows you to upload, edit, and organise files depending on the service and your needs. Read more about the file manager here:

  • Can I create backups or scheduled tasks in the Game Panel?

Yes. Depending on the service, the Game Panel can include features for scheduled tasks, backups, and restores. These tools are useful for maintenance, automation, and recovery.

  • Where do I find help for a specific game or app?

Each supported game server or app server has its own documentation. These docs are intended to explain the basics, important service-specific notes, and the most common support-related points for that product. There can be found here:

Web Hosting, cPanel & WordPress

  • What is the difference between Web Hosting and Site Hosting?

Both services are used to host websites and use the same general hosting environment. The main difference is scope: Web Hosting is the more complete package and includes website hosting together with email-related functionality, while Site Hosting is focused on the website itself without the same mail-focused feature set.

  • What can I do in cPanel?

cPanel is used for managing your hosting environment. Depending on your service, this can include website files, backups, databases, PHP settings, email accounts, DNS-related features, SSL status, and security tools. The exact features available may depend on your package. Read more about cPanel here:

  • Do I need a database for my website?

Only if your website is dynamic. Platforms such as WordPress and many other CMS or PHP-based applications usually require a MySQL database. Static websites made from HTML, CSS, and similar files normally do not. This is up to the developer/customer.

  • Can I install WordPress automatically?

Yes. WordPress can be installed and managed through WP Toolkit where available. This is usually easier than setting up everything manually.

  • My website is broken after a change. What should I check first?

Start by checking what changed. Common causes include file edits, PHP version changes, plugin or theme conflicts, missing database connection details, or broken updates. If the issue started after a major change, restoring from backup may also be relevant. Maybe this doc can help resolving the issue:

Email, Domains & DNS

  • What is the difference between Email Hosting and Web Hosting?

Email Hosting is focused only on domain-based email services. Web Hosting includes website hosting and can also include the same email-related functionality. This means a customer looking up email documentation may have either an Email Hosting service or a Web Hosting service with email included.

  • Which email protocols does ProRedLine support?

ProRedLine supports IMAP for receiving and synchronising email and SMTP for sending email. POP3 is not supported. This is done to support modern multi-device mailbox use and reduce sync-related issues.

  • Why are my emails going to spam?

This usually happens because the receiving provider does not fully trust the message. Common causes include missing or incorrect SPF, DKIM, or DMARC, a new or low-reputation domain, suspicious email content, forwarding, or inconsistent sending behaviour. Read more about email deliverability and authentication here:

  • What is DNS propagation?

DNS propagation is the time it takes for DNS changes to update across the internet. A change may work in one location before it works in another, and full propagation can sometimes take up to 24–48 hours.

  • What do A, AAAA, MX, TXT, and CNAME records do?

These are different DNS record types used for different functions. In short:

    • A / AAAA point a domain to a server IP
    • MX controls where email is received
    • TXT is often used for verification and email authentication
    • CNAME points one hostname to another hostname

Account, Billing & ProRedLine

  • Where can I find my invoices or subscriptions?

Invoices, subscriptions, and other account-level billing information are managed through my.proredline.com. This is the main customer area for account and billing administration.

  • Which payment methods does ProRedLine support?

Supported payment methods depend on the service setup shown at checkout and in your billing environment. ProRedLine documentation around billing should be used as the main reference for accepted methods, failed payments, and subscription-related payment handling. This can be found here:

  • What happens if a payment fails or I do not renew on time?

If a payment fails or a prepaid service is not renewed in time, the service may become affected depending on the product and billing status. This can include reminders, service interruption, suspension, or reactivation-related conditions depending on the service and timing involved.

  • How do I secure my account?

You should use a strong password, keep your contact details accurate, stay alert for phishing attempts, and enable two-factor authentication where available and applicable. Security-related account help belongs under Account Management docs here:

  • Where do I report incidents or service issues?

If you experience a service issue or want to report an incident, use the support and status channels provided by ProRedLine. The exact route depends on the type of issue, but account, support, and service-status platforms all have their own role. If you suspect service outage on ProRedLine’s side, report it here:
