AI Doc Summarizer Thinking Thinking

Introduction #

In this doc we explain more on closing your ProRedLine account(s), removing personal data, requesting data, and more. You’ll also learn more about what happens to your data when closing your account.

Closing Account #

To close and delete your account/personal data, please contact us. As this concerns personal data, we only process tickets created on support.proredline.com and not through email. When creating a ticket, select category ‘Erase Personal Data Request’, and make sure all of your subscriptions are cancelled and/or have reached their expiring date. Before deletion, you will receive an email to confirm this action as closing your account is an unreversible action.

Duration #

Closing your account will begin as soon as possible, unless there is an active subscription that must be concluded first. Requests will be completed within 30 days.

Requesting personal data #

You can request all the personal data we have of you, as is your right. Please contact us by creating a ticket. We only process tickets created via support.proredline.com and not through email. When creating a ticket, select category ‘Export Personal Data Request’. The first email you will receive is to confirm this action because these exports contain personal data, and we want to make sure request is from the account holder. Once confirmed, you will receive one or more emails with exports of all the personal data we have on file. This may be sent in multiple emails depending if you have accounts for the Game Panel and/or cPanel.

Duration #

Requesting your personal data will begin as soon as possible. Requests will be completed within 30 days.

Can Closed Accounts be Re-opened? #

We do not/cannot re-open closed accounts. When a account is closed, all of it’s data is deleted. There is nothing to re-open as our system simply does not have any data of you anymore.

It is possible to create an entirely new account with the same personal data. However this will be a brand new account, only new data will be saved. For example, old subscriptions will not be shown.

What Happens to Closed Account’s Data? #

Once your account has been closed, we anonymize/delete your personal data. There are some cases in which we are legally required/allowed to keep some personal data.

Cases in which we (partially) keep your information #

  • There’s still an active subscription on the account
    • Personal data kept: All data until subscription is cancelled/expired and there are no outstanding payments.
      • Why we keep this: As long as there’s an active subscription or any outstanding payments, this information is used to link any active subscriptions and payments to your account. Therefore we do not support closing accounts with active subscriptions.
  • In violation of our Terms of Service / abuse, burden of proof which results in suspended accounts
    • Personal data kept: E-mail, IP, logs, communication and account status
      • Why we keep this: To prevent repeated abuse or fraud. ProRedLine is legally allowed to keep this information if this is the case after a personal data erasure request.
  • Tax compliance: retention of data for statutory invoicing requirements
    • Personal data kept: Name, Email, IP, transaction ID’s and other payment information, invoices.
      • Why we keep this: We are required by law to keep this information for 7 years for tax purposes. After 7 years, this information is no longer required and will be removed from our systems.

In all of these cases, your information is kept secure. If none of these cases apply to you, all your personal data is anonymized or deleted. This includes addresses, email, name, IP, etcetera.
