WP Toolkit is a central management interface for WordPress inside cPanel.
It shows all WordPress installations on your hosting account and provides tools to manage them.
WP Toolkit does not install WordPress automatically. Installations appear only after you create them.
Where to Find WP Toolkit #
To open WP Toolkit:
- Log in to cPanel
- Locate WP Toolkit in the Domains or Software section
- Click WP Toolkit
You will see an overview of detected WordPress installations.
Main Overview Screen #
The main WP Toolkit screen displays:
- A list of WordPress installations
- The domain and path of each site
- The WordPress version
- Update and security status indicators
- Quick action buttons
If no sites are listed, no WordPress installations exist yet.
Installation Cards Explained #
Each WordPress site is shown as a card with:
- Domain and installation path
- Login button for the WordPress admin
- Update status for core, plugins and themes
- Security and maintenance indicators
Actions apply only to the selected site.
Common Action Buttons #
Typical actions available per site include:
- Log in to WordPress admin
- Update WordPress core
- Update plugins and themes
- Enable or disable maintenance mode
- Clone or stage the site
- Remove the installation
Use actions carefully. Some changes are destructive.
Status Indicators #
WP Toolkit uses indicators to show:
- Available updates
- Security recommendations
- Configuration warnings
Warnings indicate potential risks but do not block site operation.
Global Tools vs Site-Specific Tools #
Some tools apply:
- Per WordPress installation
- Across all WordPress sites on the account
Always verify which scope you are changing before applying actions.
What WP Toolkit Does Not Show #
WP Toolkit does not:
- Show website content
- Replace the WordPress admin dashboard
- Edit themes or plugins directly
- Manage hosting-level settings
For content and design, use the WordPress admin panel.
Safe Usage Guidelines #
When using WP Toolkit:
- Review actions before applying them
- Avoid bulk updates without backups
