Explanation #
All our (game) servers have the functionality to add users to your (game) server. You can select the specific permissions for that user and invite them to help manage the service. In technical terms this is called a ‘Subuser’, but we’ll use secondary user in this guide for simplicity.
For example, you have a ProRedLine Minecraft server for you to play on with friends. It can be handy to let those friends access the server’s dashboard when you’re away. The secondary user(s) functionality makes this possible. And you know what the best about this function? It’s integrated into all subscriptions for free!
Adding non-customers #
It’s possible to add any users as long as you have their email address. If they do not have an account yet, an account will be created for them.
Note: Abusing this function goes against our Terms of Service and can result in action to be taken. Only add users who gave you permission.
Heads up! #
We advise customers to only add subusers who they trust or limiting the permissions for subusers. If a subuser has all or most permissions, they can change, delete or add anything to your (game) server, this includes backups if the subusers has that specific permission.
