HTTPS connection #
After setup, your ProRedLine Uptime Kuma server uses an HTTP connection (This is the case if you use your Uptime Kuma server with the address on your server’s dashboard: ex. 38.242.194.138:2025). This can make your connection between your browser and server vulnerable for attackers.
If you want to make sure your Uptime Kuma website is secure, you can use HTTPS. This will change the address used (currently http://IP:PORT/) to a different HTTPS URL (ex. https://myuptimekuma.proredline.com). This makes your Uptime Kuma server/website secure against hackers.
How to enable #
Due to technical and security limitations, ProRedLine Staff will enable HTTPS for you manually as it’s not possible for now to do that yourself. If you would like HTTPS enabled, please contact us at https://support.proredline.com/ and we’ll help you.
Costs #
As this requires us to keep your SSL certificate (that’s what’s used for HTTPS) up-to-date, we will charge a small one-time fee after we’ve asked for confirmation after you’ve created a ticket at support.proredline.com.
