You can access your ProRedLine email account on mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad and Android phones.
Mobile email uses the same secure settings as desktop email clients.
What You Need Before Setup #
Before configuring mobile email, make sure you have:
- An active email account
- The full email address and password
- A stable internet connection
The email account must already exist in cPanel.
Recommended Email Type #
Use IMAP for mobile email.
IMAP:
- Keeps email synchronized across devices
- Reflects changes made on other devices
- Is recommended for multi-device usage
POP is not supported.
Required Email Settings #
Use the following settings on both iOS and Android.
Incoming Mail (IMAP) #
- Server:
mail.yourdomain.com - Port:
993 - Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Username: Full email address
- Password: Email account password
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) #
- Server:
mail.yourdomain.com - Port:
465 - Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Authentication: Required
- Username: Full email address
- Password: Email account password
Outgoing authentication must be enabled.
Setting Up Email on iOS #
- Open Settings
- Go to Mail
- Add Account
- Choose Other
- Select Add Mail Account
- Enter name, email address and password
- Choose IMAP
- Enter the server settings
- Save the account
iOS will verify the settings automatically.
Setting Up Email on Android #
Steps may vary slightly depending on device and app.
- Open the Email or Gmail app
- Add a new account
- Choose Other or IMAP
- Enter email address and password
- Enter incoming server settings
- Enter outgoing server settings
- Save the configuration
Always verify encryption and authentication options.
Common Mobile Setup Issues #
- Incorrect mail hostname/server
- SMTP authentication disabled
- Wrong port number
- Using POP instead of IMAP
These issues usually cause sending failures.
Testing After Setup #
After setup:
- Send a test email
- Reply to confirm incoming email
- Verify Sent folder synchronization
If sending fails, check SMTP settings first.
Security Tips #
- Use a device lock or biometric security
- Do not save passwords on shared devices
- Remove the account if the device is lost
