WordPress can be installed easily using WP Toolkit in cPanel.
At ProRedLine, WordPress is never installed automatically. A website is only created when you manually start the installation.
WP Toolkit is always available on Web Hosting and Site Hosting packages.
Before You Start #
Before installing WordPress, make sure:
- Your hosting account is fully provisioned
- Your domain is added in cPanel
- DNS is configured correctly or in propagation
- You know where you want WordPress installed
WordPress can be installed on:
- The main domain
- An addon domain
- A subdomain
- A subfolder
Where to Find WP Toolkit #
To access WP Toolkit:
- Log in to cPanel
- Scroll to the Domains or Software section
- Click WP Toolkit or WordPress Management
WP Toolkit shows all existing WordPress installations, if any.
Starting a New WordPress Installation #
To install WordPress:
- Open WP Toolkit
- Click Install
- Choose the installation path
Example:yourdomain.comoryourdomain.com/blog - Select the domain
- Set the website title
- Create an admin username and password
- Enter an admin email address
- Confirm the installation
WordPress is installed immediately after confirmation.
What Happens During Installation #
During installation:
- A clean WordPress installation is created
- The latest supported WordPress version is used
- A database and database user are created automatically
- A custom ProRedLine helper plugin is installed
- No demo content is added
The site starts empty and ready for configuration.
Important Installation Notes #
- WordPress is not installed unless you click Install
- Installing WordPress overwrites files if the folder is not empty
- One WordPress installation equals one website
- Multiple WordPress sites can be installed on one hosting account
Choose the installation location carefully.
Accessing the WordPress Admin Panel #
After installation, you can:
- Click Log in in WP Toolkit
- Or visit
yourdomain.com/wp-admin
Use the admin credentials created during installation.
After Installation: First Checks #
After installing WordPress:
- Log in to the admin dashboard
- Verify the site loads correctly
- Check the installed ProRedLine helper plugin
- Confirm the correct domain and path
Do not start installing plugins before verifying basic functionality.
Common Installation Mistakes #
- Installing WordPress in the wrong folder
- Using weak admin passwords
- Forgetting admin login details
- Installing multiple WordPress sites in the same directory
These mistakes often cause access issues.
Removing or Reinstalling WordPress #
If needed, WordPress can be:
- Removed via WP Toolkit
- Reinstalled cleanly
- Installed again in a different location
Removing WordPress deletes all site files and database data.
