Email Deliverability settings in cPanel help ensure that emails sent from your domain are trusted by receiving mail servers.
These settings focus on SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration status.
They do not control inbox placement directly, but they are essential for reliable delivery.
What Email Deliverability Controls #
Email Deliverability in cPanel:
- Checks SPF configuration
- Checks DKIM configuration
- Displays DMARC status
- Shows whether authentication is valid
It provides visibility, not advanced tuning options.
Where to Find Email Deliverability #
To access Email Deliverability:
- Log in to cPanel
- Go to the Email section
- Click Email Deliverability
You will see a list of domains and their authentication status.
Understanding the Status Indicators #
Each domain shows a status for:
- SPF
- DKIM
Common statuses include:
- Valid
- Missing
- Problem detected
Warnings indicate that email delivery may be affected.
Fixing Detected Issues #
If cPanel reports an issue:
- Review the suggested records
- Compare them with existing DNS records
- Apply fixes only if you understand the change
Changes must be made in the DNS Zone Editor.
Automatic vs Manual Configuration #
For ProRedLine-managed domains:
- SPF and DKIM are generated automatically
- Email Deliverability usually shows a valid status
Manual changes are only required when using external mail services.
DMARC Visibility #
DMARC may:
- Be shown as informational
- Require manual configuration in DNS
- Be set to a monitoring policy by default
DMARC enforcement should be adjusted carefully.
Common Reasons for Deliverability Warnings #
Warnings often appear due to:
- External mail services sending on behalf of the domain
- Multiple SPF records
- Modified or removed DKIM records
- Incorrect TXT records
These issues are DNS-related.
What Email Deliverability Does Not Do #
Email Deliverability does not:
- Guarantee inbox placement
- Control spam filters at recipient providers
- Fix email content issues
- Replace sender reputation
It only validates authentication configuration.
When Not to Make Changes #
Do not modify deliverability settings if:
- Email delivery is working correctly
- You do not understand the suggested change
- You are unsure which service sends email
Unnecessary changes often cause new problems.
Responsibility Notice #
You are responsible for:
- Correct DNS configuration
- Reviewing authentication status
- Avoiding unsupported email setups
ProRedLine does not automatically correct custom deliverability changes.
