The Domain Manager is used to manage registered domains at ProRedLine.
It provides control over domain-related settings such as registration status, DNS usage and domain linking.
The Domain Manager does not provide website or email hosting by itself.
What the Domain Manager Is Used For #
The Domain Manager allows you to:
- Register new domains
- Manage existing domains
- Choose how a domain is used
- Access DNS zone management
- View domain status and expiration
It acts as the central point for domain administration.
What the Domain Manager Does Not Do #
The Domain Manager does not:
- Build websites
- Host websites
- Provide email hosting automatically
- Replace cPanel hosting features
Hosting services must be purchased separately.
Domain Usage Selection #
When purchasing a domain, the Domain Manager works together with the Domain Wizard to define usage.
You can choose:
- Standalone domain
- Parked domain
- Addon domain
This choice determines how the domain is connected to your services.
DNS Management #
All domains managed through the Domain Manager include:
- Access to the DNS Zone Editor
- Ability to manage basic, advanced and MX records
Nameserver and glue record changes are not supported by default and require support approval in rare cases.
Linking Domains to Hosting Services #
Domains can be linked to:
- Web Hosting or Site Hosting
- Email Hosting
- DNS-only subscriptions
Linking is done during purchase or manually by support if changes are requested later.
Renewals and Expiration #
The Domain Manager statuses are found in your billing portal:
- Domain expiration dates
- Renewal status
You are responsible for renewing domains on time.
Expired domains may stop resolving or become unavailable.
Responsibility Notice #
You are responsible for:
- Domain renewals
- Correct usage selection
- DNS configuration
- Legal compliance related to domain use
ProRedLine acts as reseller and technical contact, not as domain owner.
Common Misunderstandings #
- Buying a domain does not include hosting
- DNS access does not mean a website is active
- Domain registration and hosting are separate services
Understanding this prevents setup issues.
